Security and Defence jobs in Sutton Coldfield
Due to the danger and risk involved in providing security at whatever level of service be it serving as a door staff, a Sutton Coldfield security guard or even working within the armed forces; people with a real passion of helping their country, community, employers or even customers are the most suited candidates for security and defence jobs. Jobs in this sector range from unskilled occupations to skilled ones. Undertaking of training courses may also be necessary regardless of the job training given to new recruits. But the good thing is that most training is often based on the place of work making it easier and also one gets to support their country and still earn a steady income during training. Trainees are however cautioned against not finishing their duties during the learning process.
At the moment, security personnel protecting Sutton Coldfield public must have the Security Industry Association license. Plans are being made of ensuring that this license is not easily obtained by just anybody and proposals have been made that if passed will require a person to have NVQ level 2 qualifications to receive the license. The license should be reapplied for annually and government run schemes can be of great help in subsidising the acquisition cost to unemployed citizens. Not all employers shoulder the cost of acquiring the license hence the necessity to find out if the company or organisation one is intending to apply for a vacancy incurs the costs or expects the applicant to already have one. Voluntary agreements with SIA may make some companies be approved by SIA but searching for such information is important for surety purposes. It has been noted with great effect that most companies have a tendency of employing people who have first aid knowledge even if they will offer training to those who don’t. A-levels and GCSEs may not be as impressive as one might think in the eyes of the employer as compared to the first aid certificate.
